Georgetown Diploma
All Georgetown University graduates earn the official Georgetown diploma, written in Latin, reflecting the history, tradition, and values of the University. Graduates will also receive a traditional blue and gray ribbon to display alongside their diploma. Graduates may request a full translation of the diploma by contacting the Office of the University Registrar or following the directions found on this page.
Georgetown University diplomas are custom ordered and take several weeks to create and ship. Diplomas are distributed by the Office of the University Registrar and will be mailed to the address you provided on your Application to Graduate. If no address was provided on the Application to Graduate in MyAccess, your diploma will be mailed to the permanent address indicated in MyAccess. Please continue to monitor your georgetown.edu email address for updates. If you have any questions regarding the mailing of your diploma, please contact the Office of the University Registrar at univregistrar@georgetown.edu.
In case of damage to or loss of your original diploma, please contact the Office of the University Registrar to request a replacement. More information about this process can be found on this page.
Transcript
The transcript is the official University record of the work you completed here at Georgetown. Degrees are posted to your official transcript by the Office of the University Registrar. Students may view their unofficial transcript via MyAccess to confirm the awarding of their degree, or they may request an official transcript through the Office of the University Registrar.
All students should contact Revenue and Receivables at (202) 687-7100 or studentaccounts@georgetown.edu to ensure that they have settled their financial obligations. Financial holds prevent academic registration, the generation of official transcripts, and the issuance of diplomas and certificates.
